If your organization needs to change the two-factor authenticated (2FA) user for banking purposes, you’ll need to submit a request through our secure partner file-sharing tool.

Follow the steps below to complete the change successfully.

✅ Step 1: Gather Required Information

Before submitting your request, collect the following information about the new authorized user:

Information Needed

Description

Full Name

Legal name of the new user

Email Address

Work or personal email that will be used for banking access

Phone Number

Used for two-factor authentication

Social Security Number (SSN)

Required for identity verification

Residential Address

Street, city, state, and ZIP code

Government-Issued ID

Front and back image required (e.g., driver’s license or passport)

📝 Step 2: Create a Word Document

  1. Open a blank Word document.

  2. At the top, include a short statement like the example below:

"We are requesting a change to the primary two-factor authentication user on our account. Please update the contact to the individual listed below."

  1. Below the statement, paste the following five pieces of information you gathered:

    • Name

    • Email

    • Phone

    • SSN

    • Address

💡 Tip: Do not include the ID images in the Word document—these will be uploaded separately in the next step.

🔒 Step 3: Upload Files via Secure Link

Click the link below to open Unit’s secure file sharing tool:

Once the page loads:

  1. Upload the Word document you created in Step 2.

  2. Upload the front and back images of the user’s ID (two separate image files).

✅ What Happens Next?

After uploading all materials:

  • Your request will be reviewed by Unit’s compliance team.

  • If any additional information is needed, they will reach out to the email or phone number you provided.

  • Once verified, the 2FA user will be updated.
