Creating Your First Program

A Program is the service your Champion Organization provides to participants. Read below to learn how to create a Program on the Gloo Impact platform.

How to Create a Program

After you select an organization, select the Programs tab near the Gloo Impact logo. Then click Create Program. You can now begin creating your program.

As you enter your information, click Save as draft to save your progress. There isn’t autosave, so save your work often to avoid losing your progress. When you want to see how the program looks, click Preview.

Complete the Overview

To create a program, start by filling out the overview section. As you enter information, you can make the text boxes bigger by dragging the bottom right corner.

First, provide a Program name, brief Tagline, and cover photo.

Then, fill out the About section, identify Who should apply, and outline What to expect.

Finally, select relevant Keywords to describe the program. When you’re done, click Milestones in the bottom left corner or Next: Milestones in the top right corner.

Add Milestones

After you create an overview, you can add milestones. Milestones are steps or activities that take place throughout the program. There are nine milestone types, ranging from filling out a survey to having a meeting to admin tasks that don’t involve the participant. To get started, customize the Milestone #1 template by selecting the Milestone type (e.g., survey, meeting, online activity). Then, enter the Milestone Title and Milestone Description. Click Next to move on to Details.

The Details section varies depending on the milestone type you selected. Go ahead and complete it, then click Next. Finish the remaining steps by deciding if you want another person to verify that the participant completed the step and specifying the Payment amount.

To add more milestones, click (+) or click Next: Application to continue building your program.

Create an Application

Create questions that will determine whether an applicant qualifies for your program in the Application section.

To create your first question, enter a question in the Untitled question field. Add a description if you’d like, and then select the question type.

By default, the Short answer question type is selected, which is great for learning more about why an applicant wants to participate in your program. You can also choose question types like Paragraph, Multiple Choice, Checkbox, Dropdown, External link, Date, and Time.

Note: The Multiple choice option is excellent for collecting demographic information so you can understand who your program is impacting.

In the bottom right corner, you can:

  1. Set questions as required.

  2. Duplicate questions to save time if they’re similar.

  3. Delete a question when you no longer need it.

  4. To create another question, click ( + ).

In the top right corner, you can turn on Auto-approve this application when you don’t want to approve the application manually.

Submitting Your Program

When you’ve created the overview, milestones, and application, you can click Submit for review in the top right corner. The Gloo Impact team will review your program before it goes live on the Program Marketplace.
