Apply for a Program
Now that you’re familiar with the dashboard, let’s see how you can apply for a Program.
Choose a Program
The first step is to find a program that suits you best. Programs are often tailored for a specific group of people, like families or youth. So, take the time to browse through the programs and check out their descriptions to make sure they’re a good fit for you.
When you find a program you like and you meet the requirements, you’ll see one of three buttons: Apply now, View available sponsors, or Join waitlist.
Let’s take a look at the steps for each of these scenarios.
When the Program has “Apply now”
This means the program is funded by one scholarship. You can click Apply now and fill out the application for the program.
When the Program has “View available sponsors”
This means multiple scholarships fund the program. Click View available sponsors.
Select the scholarship that fits your situation, and click Apply now to fill out the application for the program.
When the Program has “Join waitlist”
This means the program doesn’t have any available scholarships. You can click Join waitlist to be notified when it does.
Fill out an Application
Programs may have a program application and a scholarship application. The program application is created by the champion organization that’s providing the program. Your application helps them get to know you and make sure you’re a good fit for the program.
When you finish the Program application, click Next: Scholarship application and complete it. The organization funding the program creates the Scholarship Application, so they can make sure you’re receiving the best scholarship.
After you fill out the Scholarship application, click Submit. Your application will now be reviewed by the key decision-makers. You’ll receive an email stating that your application has been received. When a decision has been made, you’ll receive an email update.
Manage Your Programs
You can manage your programs in the Dashboard tab. Log in to the Gloo Impact platform and select the Dashboard tab to do so.
From the Dashboard tab you’ll see a few different statuses on your programs:
Pending review - this means your program application is still being reviewed.
In progress - your application has been approved, and you are working through the milestones in the program.
Completed - you’ve finished all of the milestones in the program.
You'll also see the Tasks section where you will see the next milestone that you need to complete for each program you have applied for.
