Programs

How is a Program different from a scholarship?

A Program is a service that is provided by a champion organization with a monetary value. Once a Program is pulled into a fund, a scholarship is attached to that Program which then makes the service no cost to the participant. A single Program can have multiple scholarships if it exists in different funds.

How do I describe the impact my Program can make?

Focus on the tangible outcomes and benefits of your Program. Use specific examples and data to illustrate the positive changes it will bring about.

What makes a good tagline for my Program?

A good tagline is concise, memorable, and conveys the essence of your Program. It should inspire interest and clearly communicate the value of the Program.

Milestones

What makes a good milestone?

The effectiveness of milestones can be measured using three variables: actual impact, sponsor mobilization, and participant engagement. The questions you should ask when engineering a milestone are:

  1. What does real impact look like?

  2. What would mobilize a sponsor?

  3. Does this milestone positively affect a participant's level of engagement?

A good milestone should also be specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART). It should clearly define what needs to be accomplished and provide a way to measure progress.

How detailed should my milestones be?

Milestones should be detailed enough to provide clear guidance but not so detailed that they become overwhelming. Include key actions, deadlines, and any necessary resources or links.

How do I create milestones in Gloo Impact?

Navigate to the "Milestones" tab within your Program, click "Add Milestone," select the type of milestone, and fill in the required details such as title, description, and any necessary links or resources.

Impact and Sponsor Engagement

What milestones would entice sponsors to contribute more?

Highlight milestones that demonstrate significant progress, impact, and success. Use milestones that show how donations lead to tangible outcomes, such as completed projects, successful events, or impactful surveys.

How do I write good questions for surveys or reflection questions?

Ensure questions are clear, concise, and relevant to your objectives. Use open-ended questions for reflections to gather detailed responses, and structured questions for surveys to collect specific data.

Application Building

How do I build an application for my Program?

In the "Application Questions" section, click "Add Question," choose the type of question (e.g., short answer, multiple choice), and fill in the necessary details. Indicate if questions are required and use auto-approval settings as needed.

How do I preview and finalize my application?

Use the preview option to see how your application questions appear to applicants. Save your work as a draft and review all details before submitting for review.
